Bring Hope to Nyakahuhirya

When we think of refugee camps, we often imagine people sheltered under tarps marked with the United Nations logo. But in the remote area of Uganda, where the people displaced in the Nyakahuhirya refugee camp live, no global aid organizations are coming to help. It’s only the Remnant of JESUS CHRIST that’s stepping in to make a difference.

Our Africa coordinator’s recent journey to the Nyakahuhirya refugee camp was eye-opening. The path was so narrow, she could only reach it by motorbike. In this camp of about 700 people, there is no clean water, no medical care, no church, and no school for the children. The adults grow what little food they can on small farms, but when harvests are poor, many—including children—go hungry.

But KING JESUS CHRIST has not forgotten them. Matthew 25 reminds us that whatever we do for those in need, we do directly for HIM.

Thanks to your support, we have already begun to provide life-saving medical care and clean water to the camp. Now, we are working to build a church-school where both spiritual and educational needs can be met.
