Malawi

Coordinator Name: Lois Grant

Project Name: Thyolo Prison Mother and Baby Project – Phase 3

1. Introduction / Opening Greeting

All glory belongs to JESUS for another productive month! We are pleased to present an update on the progress of the Thyolo Prison Mother and Baby Project, which is now in its final phase of construction. The project continues to make encouraging progress, with the building having reached roof level. Electrical tubing has also been completed inside the room, marking another important milestone towards completion.

2. Monthly Summary / Key Accomplishments

One of the important aspects of the project is the establishment of income-generating activities to help sustain the program beyond the construction phase. We are delighted to report that the tomatoes, cabbage and eggs that were set aside as part of this sustainability initiative are now being sold. These activities are intended to generate an ongoing source of income that can contribute towards the continued support and running of the program.

3. Current Challenges / Goals for the Next 90 Days

The final phase of the Thyolo Prison Mother and Baby Project is progressing well. With the building now at roof level, electrical tubing completed, and sustainability activities already generating income, we are encouraged by the progress achieved. We sincerely appreciate the continued support, commitment and generosity of everyone who has contributed toward this project. We remain committed to ensuring that the resources provided are used responsibly and that the project achieves its intended purpose.
